Our journey in solar hydrogen production began with the successful demonstration ofa lab-scale prototype of our IPEC device, as documented in [Tembhurne et al.,Nature Energy 2019]. This device, renowned for its world’s highest output performance per area, achieved a solar-to-hydrogen efficiency of 17.12% at EPFL's laboratory.Building on this success, we embarked on our first product-scale pilot demonstration at EPFL, Switzerland. This pilot has been in continuous operation for over two years, achieving solar-to-hydrogen efficiency of 24.4% [Isaac Holmes, Tembhurne, et al., NatureEnergy 2022]. Recently, our efforts have moved beyond controlled environments, culminating in exhaustive testing under real-world conditions on the EPFL Lausanne campus. Our focus remains on refining and validating this pilot, gearing it for extended, automated testing.

Taking a significant leap, we are currently developing our first industrial pilot at a client's location in Switzerland. Our collaboration with the client, a stainless steel tube manufacturer consuming over 54 tonnes of hydrogen annually– aims to achieve independent green hydrogen production. The infrastructure will have an installed capacity of 100kWp with five Arbs.
